WLKY-TV is an American television station serving Louisville, Kentucky and nearby areas. The station is owned and operated by Hearst Television, a subsidiary of Hearst Communications. It broadcasts a digital signal on UHF channel 36 (or virtual channel 32.1 via PSIP). WLKY-TV’s studios are located on Melton Avenue in Louisville.

WLKY-TV carries a mix of programming aimed at the Louisville market. It is the area’s home of CBS programming, as well as syndicated shows, including The Dr. Oz Show, Top 30, TMZ on TV, and The Big Bang Theory. It is also the home of the Louisville Cardinals, a Division I basketball and football team. The station also carries documentaries and news and investigative programming, such as Impact Kentucky, Real Kids Real Stories, and Quick Quiz.

Prior to becoming a CBS affiliate in 1996, WLKY was an NBC affiliate for many years. It first began broadcasting as a CBS affiliate on November 1, 1996, after NBC moved its affiliation to rival WHAS-TV. The station also carried some Fox programming in the mid-1990s.

In addition to its main signal, WLKY-TV operates three other digital channels including two subchannels of the main signal, 32-2 and 32-3. 32-2 carries programming from GetTV, a Sony movie channel. 32-3 carries programming from Heroes & Icons, a new channel devoted to classic programming from both the world of superhero shows and also classic iconic TV shows.
